May 2014

May was a very busy month for us! May 1, 2014 we welcomed Payton Noelle' Webster into the world. Brody went to school that day since there isn't much for a 2 1/2 year old to do at a hospital. We had grandparents in and at 5:26 pm Payton was born. Lauren was watching Brody for us and brought him to the hospital after to meet his new sister! He was a little apprehensive at first but then grew to love his sister quickly, just as we did.

Everyone got to stay until Sunday (she was born on Thursday). Nana stayed with me the first week to help out. Aaron also got to stay home with us as we transitioned. Mommy and daddy were both so tired all week with the new transition. Brody did great with Payton and he wants to help so much! It is really so sweet watching them!

Nana left Sunday and Lolly came Tuesday. She helped with all the things we needed that week as well. Having both grandmothers here helping was such a huge blessing for us!

Brody kept going to school. We wanted to keep him in the routine as much as possible since his world just got turned upside down. He is loving having grandparents here to spoil him! :)

Payton had her first check up on May 5. She weight 7 lbs 7 oz, 20 in. She is having some tummy issues so we were told to watch her. On Friday at her weight check she was 7 lbs 13 oz, 20 in. Shes growing well! We took her back on May 16. Her umbilical cord was still bleeding and she was having tummy issues still and spitting up large amounts. She was a little over 8 lbs. The doctor put nitrate in her belly button to get the rest and we had to put alcohol in it. We got Zantac to give her. June 2, she had her 1 month check up. 9 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches. 54%!! Payton sleeps 5-6 hours at night and we have to wake her up! Rock star! She eats every 3 hours in the day and loves being held! She has smiled some but not a whole lot.

Brody finished out the school year and did great! I got to go watch him at water day. He isnt a huge fan of the water! But hopefully we will get there this year! We had lots of play time at night and family time with the four of us. He got to go out for a date night with mommy at chick fil a and ice cream with daddy!! He is saying lots and lots! He did come down with pink eye when Payton was 1 1/2 weeks old. Trying to contain him, keep him from touching his eye and other things, and keep everything clean with a newborn was a bit tough. But we did it! He also got to go to Lolly and Peeps house for the weekend and spend some time there.
He says:
Note for "nope"
Avocado
Kool aid man (kool aid jammers)
He loves playing hide and seek
He says prayers every night before bed "Thank you for mommy, daddy, Payton, Maverick. Help me to sleep well. Thank you for all you have done. I love you Jesus. Amen"
He loves Penguins movie right now. He says Penguin but it doesnt sound like it! Thats all I will say!
He got his new sand and water table and loves playing with it!

May was filled with new, fun, exciting, tiring, loving, memories and adventure! We are so in love with our family of four and cant wait for the future!

I love you Brody and Payton!
