September 2014

Brody and Payton,

My oh my how the months are flying by my sweet little ones! Time is just passing and I want it to go slow. I want to soak in all of your laughs, smiles, sweet baby smells, funny things you do, hugs, cuddles, and kisses. I wish I could just bottle them all up!!! You two mean so very much to me and I am one proud woman to be your mama!

The first week of September/end of August, we had everyone here for Payton's dedication and Brody's birthday party! Everyone got in on Saturday! That day we just watched football, hung out, got everything ready for the birthday party, and just enjoyed time together.

Sunday morning, August 31, we dedicated you sweet Payton to Jesus. We trust Him with your life and are thankful that He choose us to raise you. We hope we do a good job. We pray for you daily, your future, your future friends/spouse/kids daily, and everything that involves you!

Brody, we had your birthday party Sunday night, August 31. It was a "Pirate" theme. You love holding your sword up and going "ARGH"! It was lots of fun! We had "Carribbean water" (Kool-aid) to drink, "Skeleton Bones' (Chocolate pretzels), "Fish and Chips" (goldfish and chips), "Ropes" (Twizzlers), "Cannon balls" (Black grapes), "Pirate gold" (Cubed cheese), "Fish Bait" (Gummy worms), and Cupcakes (homemade by nana) with boats around them. Your friends that came were Cole, Benson, Jackson, Sully, Jasper, Paul, and Luke. You had lots of fun. We set up the water inflatable but you dont like water on your head. So you did not go down it. You got in the little pool and the other inflatable. You and your friends also liked searching for treasure in the sand! You got lots of neat things and it was great to have everyone celebrating your 3 sweet years of life here with us so far! We can't wait for many more sweet boy.

Payton, you had your 4 month check up on September 2. You are 14.6 lbs and 24 inches long. You are doing great! You had to get 3 shots and a oral med like last time. NO FUN! You got a temperature and did not feel well at all after and for a few days!

Brody, for your birthday you took cupcakes (homemade by mommy) to school for your birthday! I think everyone liked them a lot! They sang happy birthday to you at circle time and lunch! They said you loved it! You got to open your clothes and t-ball set on your birthday! You had us singing "Happy Birtday" to you all day! And we did every time you asked!!!

At your 3 year appointment, you weighed 27 pounds and were a little over 3 feet tall. You have not grown much since your last appointment. So she told us to try Carnation good start with your milk to see if you will drink it for us. She also says your speech is a little delayed. We will watch it until January. If it isnt better we will possibly take you to a speech therapist. Other than that, you are doing great little man!!!

The rest of the month has been busy with church, going to watch our students in their activities, walks in the evening, some park playing, and lots of imagination! You have a great imagination now Brody! Payton also LOVES watching you. You can get her to laugh ALL the time when no one else can. Your smile lights up a room sweet Payton!!

August 2014

Brody and Payton,

There were many first this month! I'll talk about those individually. This has been a fun, emotional, busy, exciting month for us!

The first week of August was Mommy's last week off with the two of you before I went back to school! It was such a fun week! We went to the park, played at home, went swimming, cuddled, and enjoyed our time together. While it was fun, it was very emotional for mommy too! Mommy hates having to work and leave the two of you at day care. However, it is what is best for our family. Even though its hard, I want to provide the best life I can for you and that means for me to work for now.

The next week you went to IHI for the first time this fall!! You did fabulous! Brody, you moved up to Ms. Heather's room and did wonderful. Payton, you went into Ms. Michele's room. They say that you may be the easiest baby they have EVER had! You go girl! By the end of the week though you both were so tired. Payton, you had a bit of a cold. Sorry baby girl!! I have a feeling you will have lots of sickness, at least this first semester.

On Thursday of this week, Nana and Papa and all the cousins came. Nana and Papa took you all to Branson to a hotel with a water park. Brody - you loved it and acted like water was no big deal! Stinker!! Payton - you stayed here with us. Too little to go away from mama yet! ;) Then on Friday they all came back. We met them at the hotel and went swimming a little. Then we all went to dinner at Dink's and bowling. The kids loved it! You just love Cooper Brody and you do whatever he does!! After the first round, Cooper and Brody went back to the hotel to sleep and we stayed with the older three and Payton for one more round. Then we went and got ice cream! :)

On Saturday, we did pictures and then the kids swam a little. THen we ate lunch and they all left. Brody -  you were so sad Cooper left! Hohpefully not too long until we see them again!!

The next week we had to have Lauren watch yall two days and Daddy watch you the rest of the week because In His Image was closed. This helped mommy through her first week of school. It was ROUGH! So many tears!!!! But I did it!! And I did it for YOU BOTH!!! Always remember that!

Then the next week you both started back at IHI and did great!! You both are troopers and go with the flow so easy!!!

Brody:
Say "Ban" for Band-aid and are kind of obsessed with them
Doing a little better getting your hair wet with wash cloths
