The Dub Shack: September 2012

Brody,

Im really not sure how almost a year has passed us by. It feels like yesterday we were bringing you home from the hospital. These past 11 months have been some of the best months of my entire life!! You bring so much joy to my life little man!

August 1 - 4: This is mommy's last week at home before she starts her new job as a teacher in Bentonville. We have had lots of fun this week. Mommy is really cherishing her time with you!!! This week we had lunch with some teens, went swimming, went shopping, played with toys at home, and a bunch of fun other things!!

August 5 - 11: Mommy started work on Aug 6, so that means you started In His Image preschool that day. It was a little rough. You were EXHAUSTED by the end of the day. You played hard, didnt have regular nap times and tired your little self out. Tuesday was worse because you were just so tired. The rest of the week you did pretty well though! You eat well at school! You and mommy were both tired at night but we still got our play time in and hung out with daddy and just enjoyed being around each other!

August 12 - 18: You are started to get 4 TEETH in!!! None have popped through but they are all at the edge! This week you got the coughies again and we took you to the doc....just a cold they said. So no medicine this time! And we are trying a humidifier, cold air, etc. to try and help you. Your nose is running some because of those teethers. On Friday, we had a big celebration at home for Daddy's 27th birthday. You did great with everyone in your home and had fun with Zaylee. You also had mac and cheese for the first time - you loved it! On Sat, mommy and daddy did the Amazing Race so you went to the nursery and they loved being around you! Said you did great - as always :)

August 19 - 25: In His Image was closed this week so you went to Debbie's Monday and stayed with Larissa the rest of the week at home and daddy on Friday! You did great for all of them. Every night though we at least went for a walk. After being home all day you were tired of being there and wanted to get out a little bit :) This was a pretty normal week as well. Just lots of play time at night and time as a family. Your top tooth just to the right of your front tooth (looking at you) popped through! The other 3 in the front are getting close! You are drooling and nose running like crazy!

August 26 - 31: Sunday we had back to school bash so you went for a while with us. The teens are starting to really love you! (how could they not :)) This week started In His Image again. They said you are doing great! They lay you down for your nap and you just go to sleep!!! So proud of you big boy!!! You are also getting really great at feeding yourself! You feed yourself your lunch everyday! You eat all solids. No baby food at all anymore - you hate it! This week we have started giving you some whole cows milk mixed with breast milk to try and transition you to whole milk. You are doing great with it! You like regular milk - just not cold. On Friday you and mommy headed straight to Dallas to meet Nana and Papa. You stayed the night with them while mommy and daddy went to Naz Nite with our youth. They loved having you!!

Sleep about 8 - 630 am.

LOVE bath time

Babble a LOT!

Brody - i love you more than words could ever describe. I love you more than I ever knew a person could love someone. You are my world and I will do anything for you!! I love you baby boy!
