November 2013

Brody,

This fall semester is flying by!! We are busy with lots of things going on. I cannot believe Christmas is so close and we are almost to 2014. It has been lots of fun with you this month! Your language is really taking off and you have such a fun personailty.

November we have had a few park times and some outside time, but it is getting colder and we cant do that as much. And you do NOT like that. You are all about playing outside. We hate it but when your hands are red and your nose is pouring, we dont have much choice but to make you come in :(

You made some cute things at school this month for Thanksgiving. You made a little hat and a little picture thing with your hand print that I have at school to look at every day! :) You have done well in school this week. You are one of their best eaters! Your only issue is sometimes you push kids for no reason. We are working on that. You LOVE Ty and Cole. you say their name often!

You love riding in your Cozy Coupe, playing outside, playing with your tool bench, "reading" books, watching movies, watching Chapel, playing with play dough, stickers, riding your Lightening McQueen car (you have gotten really fast in the kitchen!). You also loving "hiding" under blankets and wrestling with daddy. You also love making tents in the living room and "hiding"

You are still bad about saying No a lot. Especially to people. Mommy and daddy are trying really hard to break you of this. It is rude and not nice to other people so we are working on that. You don't throw many fits this month, mainly that. But that results in time outs. You are hitting a little but not too bad. We are working on that too!

Mommy got you a fish for the tub that swims on its own. Oh my word, you hate it! You are very skiddish! You dont like unknown things. You just scream. You also hate heights! Hopefully that will get better soon! :)

Your sleep habits are about the same. Still doing good for the most part. I am excited for the day you sleep in past 8 though! :)

Your eating habits are about the same as well! You like: turkey, cheese, mac and cheese, hot dogs, strawberries (obsessed), applesauce, pouches, avacado, bananas, corn, green beans, spaghetti, beans, rice, sweet potatoes, potatoes, eggs, more cheese, goldfish, and pretty much the same old same old. :) Still only juice at home no milk. Although you do milk at school stinker!

The first weekend in November Mommy and Daddy took the youth on a Fall retreat. You got the spend the weekend with Lolly. Yall went to toy land downtown and to Luke's birthday party on Saturday. Mommy sure missed you but Lolly said yall had lots of fun and you did good!

Mommy and daddy went on a date the 15th and you got to stay with Melanie. You did great, although you didn't like us leaving. You stayed with Larissa when mommy and daddy took the youth to see Catching Fire. You did well for her too! I am glad you do okay with babysitters.

Mommy had the week off for Thanksgiving. On Monday morning we went to Little Giggles. You love that place. You played hard for two hours and still didn't want to leave. We did have a fit leaving! Mommy wasn't very happy with you about that but we talked and then we got better. In the afternoon, you stayed with Alana as we went to check on your baby brother/sister. We aren't sure of gender yet but hopefully soon! When you woke up from your nap all you said to her was no. You just wanted mommy to get up. but she put a movie on and then you were better! :)

Tuesday we headed to Amarillo for Thanksgiving. You watched movies and napped for about an hour. You also did scream for about 45 minutes because you didnt want the snack I got out for you. You eventually got over it and took my snack. We stopped in OKC for lunch with Brett and Ashly and you go to play a little while. You feel asleep very quick after and did well the rest of the way.

In Amarillo on Tuesday, we played when you got up. Then mommy and daddy did a few errands with uncle Jared while you stayed with Lolly and Peeps. Then that evening we went and saw grandma and aunt Darlene and her family. On Thursday, we played again in the morning at home. About 11:30 we went to Aunt Kathy's and stayed there all day for Thanksgiving. We had yummy food and you had so much fun with Kenzie and Parker. You LOVED riding bikes outside too! On Thursday night mommy stood in line for 1 1/2 hours to get you a portable DVD player for the car! Friday, we played and watched a movie in the morning. While you napped, mommy ran errands with aunt Stephanie and daddy played football with Uncle Jared. Friday night we went back to grandma's and you had fun playing with Aunt Stephanie. Saturday we traveled back home. You did much better with the new dvd player and watching movies. I am okay with you watching them in the car since it makes you happy and you are quiet. :)

October 2013

Brody,

October has been a fun month for us! You are for sure in a two year old mind set!

October has been a pretty normal month for us. There hasn't been a lot of things that are abnormal or out of the ordinary that we have done. We have had some park time, we took Mav to the dog park and you loved it! Although you don't care for other dogs, you love watching him run and trying to get him to play fetch with you.

This month we had fun decorating a pumpkin with you! We didn't carve one. We made one look like an owl! You loved helping although it was a little hard for you still.

You love riding in your Cozy Coupe, playing outside, playing with your tool bench, "reading" books, watching movies, watching Chapel - you are obsessed! (Chapel is "If your happy and you know it" that you sing at chapel), going on walks on your bike, playing with play dough, stickers, running around in grassy areas, and just playing. You are all boy and are very active!!!

You are still throwing some 2 year old fits. We are handling the best we can. You say "No" alot when you don't get your way which ends in a time out. Hopefully you will catch on soon that that doesn't help get your way. You are also hitting some which also gets you in trouble. We make you give gentle touches after to show you how you should touch others.

You were healthy this month! Wahoo! You did have to get a flu shot - yuck! But you did well. You didn't like it but you got over it pretty quickly :)

You also got your haircut again. You did better this time. Hopefully you keep doing better and better!

You do well sleeping for the most part. You have started dragging everything into bed with you before going to sleep. Monitor, changing pad, stars light, etc. But then you go to sleep. Whatever works right ;) You have not figured out how to crawl out yet. Until you do, or closer to baby, we will keep you in your bed.

You are not eating a lot of different things, but you are eating a lot of what you like! The other day you had half a box of the family size mac and cheese! You are a growing boy! The Saturday before Halloween we went to a corn maze with Mark and Lauren. You like helping us pick a pumpkin. You also like the cow train and corn maze. You are obsessed with Paul and Luke and call them both Paul. You did NOT like the petting zoo or animals and freaked when the cow mooed at you! It was pretty funny. :)

We had a Halloween thing at church. You dressed up and loved running around with Zaylee and playing in the corn. On Halloweenwent trick-or-treating with Mark and Lauren again. You just wanted to ride in the wagon with Luke at the beginning and threw a fit because he would get out. After a while you started going to doors and loving it. You said Trick-Or-Treat and loved eating M and M's. We also went to the Bujarskis and you loved playing with their dog Cocoa!

September 2013

Brody,

How is that you entered our life 2 years ago? The time has flown by and we have loved having you in our lives more than we could ever say big boy! You mean so much to us and we are so thankful to have you in our lives every single day!

We had lots going on this month and had lots of fun!

The first weekend in September we went on our annual Webster Family Reunion trip to Dallas. It was over Labor Day. The hotel had a little beach area and you enjoyed playing on the beach and in the lake. You also played in the splash pad but not as much of a fan of that. We got to see family and you did great most weekend. You did get very grumpy Sunday afternoon after nap but I think you were still tired. You did well in the car ride home most of the way!! You just didnt want to ride the last little bit.

Your 2nd birthday was this month!! It is crazy to think you are two! The next weekend Nana and Papa came Friday. On Saturday we enjoyed spending time with them. On Saturday evening about 4, Lolly and Peeps got there. Then we told them that you would be a BIG BROTHER!!! You are going to be such a good big brother!!
On Sunday afternoon, we had your birthday party at the park. You enjoyed most of it. However, it was hot and you just wanted to play on the playground and not do anything else for your birthday. You threw a few fits. You loved all your stuff though! Nana and Papa had to leave at the end but Lolly and Peeps stayed that night and we played with lots of toys.
On Monday, Sept. 9, your actual birthday, you had school. Then we came home and you decided to throw more fits. After you were done, we got to open your gift from mommy and daddy - a tool bench! Then we had dinner and played outside and watched a movie! Happy birthday sweet boy!

This month we went to a few football games, played A LOT outside, enjoyed time on the Hall's land and threw rocks into the river, went to OKC for Kamron's wedding, facetimed with family, and got into the groove of school. You also got to see a firetruck and police car and motorcycle for the first time this week at school. You got to get on them and play! You enjoyed it but were a little unsure! We also had family pictures done. That was a task! You just wanted to run everywhere and not stay still. We got a few good ones! See below.

You have started these tantrums this month. Mommy and daddy, after trial and error, decided that when you decided to throw a fit we would exit the room and ignore you (obviously if you were just mad about something, not if you were hurt/sick, etc.) You learned that fits didn't get you anything and after a few weeks, they pretty much stopped!

You were fairly healthy this month. You did get croupe but got a steriod and got over it pretty quickly! You LOVE playing outside, going on walks, riding in your "car" and filling it with "gas", going to the park, and watching videos. You are obsessed with videos even though we don't let you watch them often. You also LOVE your puppy. You call him puppy and not Maverick, but thats okay! Yall are best buds!

You don't like fixing your hair, not getting a snack every time you ask (you ask constantly and then won't eat dinner so we have to limit it), getting your way. That's every two year old right? Hopefully we can break that habit soon!

We also broke you of your paci this month! We took it away after our Dallas trip. It was a struggle and you cried some that first week, but after that you pretty much were fine. We didn't tell you anything, we just didn't give it to you anymore. It also helps that you only had it when you slept anyway. You never asked for it again and you do fine without it now! Good job bud! Next up, go to a toddler bed!

You also had your 2 year appointment. You are not a fan of the doctor! However, you did well and are healthy! You are in the 54% for height and 16% for weight. You didn't get a shot but will have to next month :( You are 25 pounds and about 34 inches tall.

We hope you had a great one and cant wait for many more!
