Brody,
Every month I feel like you change so much. This month, however, I feel like you changed drastically! You are just growing up and becoming a little boy on me!!! Although I want you to be my baby forever, it is so fun watching you grow and develop!!!
Fits: OH the fits. I just thought last month you were getting good at them. This month you have quite the fit thrower. Anytime you dont get something you want or just upset you throw yourself down and scream. Not fun at all. You have also started hitting yourself in the head when youre mad. I have to admit - its kind of funny. But we are trying to get you to stop that. You got time out yesterday for hitting a girl in your class. I think it is all starting! :)
Sleeping: Sleeping well! You go to sleep pretty clockwork at 7:30 pm and pretty clockwork wake up about 7:00 am. Sometimes you cry throughout the night but most of the time you are good about putting yourself back to sleep. This is just the same as last month. The Lord has blessed us with a wonderful sleeper!!
Eating: Can you say growth spurt!! You eat non-stop now!!You are eating all your food at school, and I pack a lot. I remember one day I packed 2 hot dogs, cheese, applesauce, bananas, yogurt, and a granola bar and you ate it all!! Many times you want more than just oatmeal for breakfast and you always are snacking after school. You are drinking milk better but not great but drink a lot more juice now. You drink from sippy cups great. You love feeding yourself with a spoon too!!
Playing: You play and play and play! You love dancing, your ball pit, your slid, pushing cars and making noises, wrestling with mommy and daddy, chasing and being chased, playing outside, bouncing things, legos, puzzles, and books. Backyardigans, Mickey Mouse Club and Mater Tales are your favorite things to watch. You like riding in the shopping carts too!
Things we did: We have had a busy month. The first weekend in Feb. you were sick with croupe. We went to after hours and got you meds and thought you were better. On Mon, Feb 4 you got a bad fever and just didnt feel good. We decided to keep you home the next day. On Feb. 5, Mommy's Peepaw died and you were still very sick. Mommy stayed home with you. We went to the dr. because you still had a bad fever. You feel asleep sitting up at the dr. It was just a virus and you slept literally all day in mommys arms (I liked that part) We were just in Killeen for Mommy's godfathers funeral 2 weeks ago. We packed up and left the 6th for the funeral. We were in Killeen from Wed. to Sunday. It was not a fun reason to go but we enjoyed seeing family! The next weekend, you got to stay with Rhonda Friday night while mommy and daddy went out. The rest of the month was just a pretty normal schedule. School and church and evenings at home. It was normal but I have loved my time with you!!
Milestones and things about you:
1) Words this month: diaper is clear, Turtle, Juice, Blue, Ka-chow for cars, kind of say love you, Lolly
2) You hold up 1 finger to say you are one
3) Great with all sippy cups
4) You dont like changing diapers at all
5) Feeding self with spoon more often
6) You still dont like to be rocked much but the past few weeks you have fallen asleep in my arms at bed time - which I have loved!
7) If we say hand you grab our hand quickly when we walk in parking lots.
8)"Help" with dishes and laundry
9) LOVE your phone and sunglasses
10) Eating much better and more food now! Eating more variety of food like, green beans, ranch style beans, hot dogs.
11) Know where your eyes, teeth, shoes, feet, tummy, hair is. Try fixing your hair like daddy.
14) LOVE to wrestle and yell with mommy and daddy
15) Love lunging into your ball pit, sliding, and playing with cars
17) Love Mickey Mouse Club and Backyardigans
18) You "talk" and jabber like CRAZY!!!
19) About 24 pounds, 18 month clothes, and size 4/5 shoe, size 4 diaper
Lots of growing and changing this month. Your personality is just blossoming! You are so fun to be around and watch play! I love hearing your laugh, watching you smile, listening to you "talk", You bring imense joy to my life. Everyday I thank God for you and that he choose me as your Mommy. I will always stand by you and enjoy being a part of your life. You will always be my baby!

Poor boy - you got sick and feel asleep on me sitting up at the dr. office. This was Feb. 5, the same day Peepaw died. not a fun day!
