The Dub Shack: December 2011

I think I am going to start blogging monthly instead of weekly. We are a very busy family and I think blogging for each month of your life will work better. So here is December!

Dec 1 - 3 (first weekend in Dec). Lolly and Peeps, Nana and Papa, and Aunt Lynnlee and Uncle Chris and Cooper and Preston came in this weekend for you!! This is a big weekend. On Sunday you are going to be dedicated to the Lord. On Saturday we ran around with Lolly and Peeps and did some shopping. That night, everyone got in and we all ate at Kubla Khan.

Dec 4 - Dec 10 - Dec 4th you were dedicated to Jesus by Pastor Scott Rainey. It was a very special time for Mommy and Daddy. We know the Lord has blessed us with you and we wanted to give you back to him! We took lots of pictures and we all went and ate at Spring Creek BBQ! Everyone left except Lolly and Peeps and then we hung out with them. They left on Monday. The rest of this week was pretty normal. Mommy and Daddy worked and you went to Nicole's. On Friday Night, you were baby Jesus in the living nativity at church and you did great!!!

Dec. 11 - 18 - On Sunday night you did the living nativity with mommy and daddy again and again - you did fabulous!!! Such a good baby! This week Mommy had a colonoscopy and the Lord took care of Mommy because the colonoscopy was clear. You had to take bottles for 2 days but you did great and got right back into breastfeeding. We had our Life group Christmas party and you had lots of fun! You bit mommy while feeding and everyone thought it was so funny because i said "Ouch" really loud. You are smiling so much!! and eating so much!!! You are growing a lot. You are also sleeping through the whole night and in your own bed! Mommy and daddy moved you there this week and you are doing great!

Dec 19 - 24 - Mommy got to spend Monday and Tuesday with you all to herself!! We ran some errands and just hung out! It was so fun! On Wednesday, Dec. 21, we went to Nana and Papa's house. We had family Christmas with that side of the family and we had lots of fun!!! You got lots of great toys and some clothes! On Christmas Eve we headed back hom to Katy.

Dec 25 - Dec 31 - We were home in Katy on Christmas Day. This was your very first Christmas Day and it was a lot of fun for Mommy and Daddy! We got up about 9 and opened gifts. You got some toys and clothes. You sat in Mommy's lap while she opened the gifts for you! Then we went to church to celebrate Jesus' birthday! It was a perfect first Christmas Day for you! Then on Dec. 26 we headed to Amarillo! You did so great in the car. You slept almost the whole way!!! This week you met Grandma, Mer, Grandad, Uncle Harvey and Aunt Kathy, Josh, Mindy, Madison, Makenzie, Bobbi Shae, Jeremy, Parker, Uncle Steve, Jennifer, Aunt Carol, Nori, Maxine, Grant, Ginger, Michael, Bella, Bryce, Norbert, Cindy, Lily and I think that is it. I may have forgotten someone though. We got your footprints done, opened presents, visited with family, and everyone loved on you a lot. Of course everyone thought you were adorable too!! On Friday you acted really funny all day like you didnt feel good and that night you got your first fever! It made Mommy scared! Daddy went and got some Tylenol and we gave you a little and by morning you were all better! You did great on the car ride home back to Houston! We only stopped 2 times on a 10 hour drive! You Go Big Boy!!!

Developments this month:

Smiling a lot!!

Eating about 5 ounces

Starting to touch objects a little more but not reaching yet

Rolled from tummy to back a few times

Cooing/Talking a lot

Starting to chew on hand more

About 13-14 pounds

Sleeping about from 930 - 6ish!!

Sleep all the way through church

Taking pretty good naps during the day

You are growing and developing so much!! Mommy and daddy love you so much! and We LOVE watching you grow and develop!!!
