The Dub Shack: December 2015

What a whirlwind month!! December flew by and we were so busy!

Brody, you went to the dentist again. Last time you did so well! This time, you screamed and fought again. I am not really sure why, but you did NOT like it!

We went to the Angel Breakfast at church. There were pancakes (which you both loved!), lots of balloons, activities, the Christmas story, and a petting zoo (neither of you liked the animals!). That night, the youth sponsored parents night out and mommy and daddy worked it so you went as a child. We played games, watched Polar Express, and did crafts. You both did awesome! Payton, you loved putting stickers all over Cameron! ;) We also saw Santa this week! Payton, you were not a fan!

The next week, we drove to Branson and took yall to the Polar Express. You both LOVED it! You were bouncing up and down and dancing and it was a great time! They had the homeless on top, the cookies and singing, Santa came, you both got a bell, and we read the story!

We had our youth Christmas party at our house too. You both did awesome! Playing with the youth and being well behaved! I am so proud of you both and you both make me so happy!

We also had Brody's Christmas program! You did great bud. You didn't sing much but you stood up there well and you were well behaved! You did end up picking your nose :)

We had two weeks off for Christmas break! Boy did we do some traveling! :)

First, we headed to Harker Heights, TX to see Nana and Papa. We got there Sunday night late. Throughout the week we went to the park (It was about 80 degrees), baked cookies, played with cousins, went to a light walk through in Marble Falls, went to the arcade/bowling, and enjoyed lots of time together! Brody - Santa brought you your robot with blue eyes, claw, Inside Out, candy, cars, a beanie, and a game (Kerplunk). You also got a switch and go dino, a dragon, more cars, a car carrier, a cowboy, a scooter, game for leap pad, fish game, and I am sure a few other things I am forgetting. Payton - Santa brought you your zoo toy, zoo animals, a puppy vet kit, socks, and candy. You also got clothes, a kitchen, baby dolls, a cooking kit, BOWS (which you loved), a play radio, a play mixer, and many other things. We are so blessed!

From there we headed to Amarillo a day early to beat the snow storm Goliath. We made it. It was very windy!! Yall did great only stopping once! It did snow but it wasnt as bad as they said it would be. We enjoyed visiting with Lolly's side on Sunday and Peeps side on Monday. We went to a bounce house, found out you are getting a GIRL cousin - Molly, and hung out with family. It was a fun time. By the end though, you were both ready to be home. The night we got home and you got into bed Brody, you said "I missed my bed. I am glad I dont have to sleep in someone else's bed." We are so blessed and loved time with family but were ready to get home! We had to spend all Saturday purging and organizing our new toys!

Behavior is still an issue - mainly listening to mommy and daddy's directions

Love playing with Teppy, Matt, Kelsi, and Jared

We had lots of fun playing in the snow

Use "You cant come to my birthday party" when you're mad

Love to pretend you are a superhero and we are getting the "bad guys"

Tried no naps on break - it went ok but also rough

You are very independent. It is not a bad thing but we must teach you boundaries to be able to be independent but also respectful of adults and to still follow directions. You will get there son and you will be a strong and courageous man one day! I can't wait to watch.

You are bubbly and love to dance, say cheese for the camera, and talk. You have your own mind! You are sweet and kind and will be a loving woman one day. I can't wait to watch.
