The Dub Shack: October 2012

Brody! Hey little man! This has been a great month for us!!! We have had so much fun!!!

This month you have really started taking off and walking on your own. You were walking between mommy and daddy really well but on October 15th, you realized you could walk where ever you wanted to whenever you wanted to. You started walking around the living room a little on your own. You would walk around the ottoman with your hands in the air not holding on! Mommy was so proud!! You usually walk with your hands in the air above your head. It helps keep you balanced!!! By the end of October you are walking great!!!

Lolly got to come keep you for the weekend while Mommy and Daddy went on Fall Retreat with the youth. I was very sad to leave you but you did so great and you were in great hands! You had lots of fun with Lolly and did just perfect!!!

This month you had a few sicknesses too :( You got your first yeast infection. Mommy and Daddy and daycare had to use 3 ointments and wash cloths when we changed your diaper. It took about 12 days to heal but it finally did! I felt so bad for you because you could tell it hurt you so bad and there just was not much we could do. Then on top of that you fell in the tub and got a little cut on your poor bottom. Not a fun week!

Then the last weekend in October you got a bad fever. On Thursday you ran a fever of about 99 at school so they gave you Tylenol. You were tired and kind of grumpy that night. Friday you woke up with a 104 fever and not feeling well at all. You were very sleepy and not hungry at all. Mommy took off and we took you to the dr. It was just a virus so there were not any meds we could give you :( You ran a fever until Sunday. You laid in Mommy's lap most of the 3 days either just resting or sleeping. Sunday you slept for 5 hours during the day!! Monday and Tuesday no fever but grumpy and by Halloween you were much better!

Halloween was fun! You were a golfer! We had one door get about 5 people to her door to look at you because you were so cute!! You did great! You walked some, rode in the wagon some, and were carried some! It was so much fun! :)

This month you have 6 teeth and are getting at least 1 more that we know of. We think others may be coming in because you are drooling like crazy!! You are 20.5 pounds and about 30 in long. You have also started crawling "normal" this month (on Oct. 19) and do it some. You sleep about 8 pm - 7 am. You dont eat a whole lot. Your favorites are avacado, bananas again, baked potatoes, apple cinnamon yogurt, cheese, puffs, and anything mommy makes for dinner - you like to eat what mommy and daddy eat. You are transitioning to a sippy and out of bottle. You now sleep with Mr. Giraffe and you love to cuddle with him. Usually you like us to just lay you down for naps and bedtime. You LOVE bath time. You say "mamama", "dadada", "da" for dog, "ball". You sign for milk, all finished, and more. You know were eyes are sometimes nose. You "brush" your hair. You say "ahh" when we brush your teeth. You are tickelish on your sides, legs, and armpits. You love crawling and wrestling on the floor with daddy. You love looking out and patting windows. You and Mav are becoming great friends too!

This month has been so much fun! You are growing and changing so much constantly! I love watching it! You are going to do great things for this world!! I believe in you little man!! I love you!
