May 2014

May was a very busy month for us! May 1, 2014 we welcomed Payton Noelle' Webster into the world. Brody went to school that day since there isn't much for a 2 1/2 year old to do at a hospital. We had grandparents in and at 5:26 pm Payton was born. Lauren was watching Brody for us and brought him to the hospital after to meet his new sister! He was a little apprehensive at first but then grew to love his sister quickly, just as we did.

Everyone got to stay until Sunday (she was born on Thursday). Nana stayed with me the first week to help out. Aaron also got to stay home with us as we transitioned. Mommy and daddy were both so tired all week with the new transition. Brody did great with Payton and he wants to help so much! It is really so sweet watching them!

Nana left Sunday and Lolly came Tuesday. She helped with all the things we needed that week as well. Having both grandmothers here helping was such a huge blessing for us!

Brody kept going to school. We wanted to keep him in the routine as much as possible since his world just got turned upside down. He is loving having grandparents here to spoil him! :)

Payton had her first check up on May 5. She weight 7 lbs 7 oz, 20 in. She is having some tummy issues so we were told to watch her. On Friday at her weight check she was 7 lbs 13 oz, 20 in. Shes growing well! We took her back on May 16. Her umbilical cord was still bleeding and she was having tummy issues still and spitting up large amounts. She was a little over 8 lbs. The doctor put nitrate in her belly button to get the rest and we had to put alcohol in it. We got Zantac to give her. June 2, she had her 1 month check up. 9 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches. 54%!! Payton sleeps 5-6 hours at night and we have to wake her up! Rock star! She eats every 3 hours in the day and loves being held! She has smiled some but not a whole lot.

Brody finished out the school year and did great! I got to go watch him at water day. He isnt a huge fan of the water! But hopefully we will get there this year! We had lots of play time at night and family time with the four of us. He got to go out for a date night with mommy at chick fil a and ice cream with daddy!! He is saying lots and lots! He did come down with pink eye when Payton was 1 1/2 weeks old. Trying to contain him, keep him from touching his eye and other things, and keep everything clean with a newborn was a bit tough. But we did it! He also got to go to Lolly and Peeps house for the weekend and spend some time there.
He says:
Note for "nope"
Avocado
Kool aid man (kool aid jammers)
He loves playing hide and seek
He says prayers every night before bed "Thank you for mommy, daddy, Payton, Maverick. Help me to sleep well. Thank you for all you have done. I love you Jesus. Amen"
He loves Penguins movie right now. He says Penguin but it doesnt sound like it! Thats all I will say!
He got his new sand and water table and loves playing with it!

May was filled with new, fun, exciting, tiring, loving, memories and adventure! We are so in love with our family of four and cant wait for the future!

I love you Brody and Payton!

July 2014

Brody and Payton,

July was not quite as busy as June, but still busy! We had lots of fun! The first week of July, Brody was in Colorado with Lolly and Peeps and Sweet Pea was in AR with Mommy and Daddy. Brody got to go to his first amusement park, The North Pole. He LOVED it! He was also there for fourth of July! It was a very hard week to be away from Brody for mommy but I am so glad he had fun!

Payton went to the doctor. She weighs 11 pounds 14 oz! She is a growing girl. We can stop the Zantac because he spitting up is much better. She is sleeping 5-6 hours at night and still eating every three. The doctor said she looked great! She also got her first round of shots which was not fun for mommy! :(

Brody got home and we were all so excited! Then we had a week at home to play and have fun. On, Thursday Mommy went to Branson with Nana and Lynnlee and Payton got to have her first girls weekend! She did great! Ate, slept, and shopped! We saw the Dixie Stampede, did Painting with a Twist, shopped, and had lots of fun! Brody has some good daddy time!

The next week we got to relax and play at home some more. Then that weekend we went to Kansas City for a mini family vacation. On Friday we went to the zoo. It was HOT! Brody did not care for it too much until we saw the penguins. He was good the rest of the day. Payton was a trooper and did great! We ate at Fritz's that night and Brody loved it! Our food was delivered by a train!

On Saturday we went to the water park at our hotel. Brody is scared to death of water so we keep trying to take him to try and get him over his fear. He had some fun but still not a fan. Payton slept in Mommy's arms the whole time ;). We walked around downtown a little bit then headed home. A good family vacation!

Then Mommy and Daddy celebrated our 6 anniversary and Ms. Lauren watched the kiddos while we went out for the first time in a long time. Mommy did great leaving Ms. P :) We tried swimming a few times and that was fun for the most part. B still didn't love it but we are trying!

It has been a fun month and we have enjoyed spending time with y'all!

June 2014

Brody and Payton,

June was filled with lots of fun and lots of busyness! The first week of June Brody finished school! This means you got to join Mommy and Payton on summer break Brody! Daddy left for the Dominican Republic. This was very hard for mommy to say goodbye! Mommy wanted to so badly go but also needed to stay for the two of you! We said lots of prayers for the team while they were away and they had a great trip!

While Daddy was gone, Nana came to stay. Brody was potty trained (for the most part) this week. I could not have done it without Nana’s help. I sure am glad I got it done while she was here. It was a hard, messy week but we made it through! Then on Friday of the second week, we headed with Nana to Dallas for Cherie’s wedding festivities. Brody did great, Payton did ok. She is not a huge fan of the car seat and got upset sometimes. Mommy had Papa take her halfway back home on Sunday to meet a friend. Payton was still a little young to attend a wedding. This also gave mommy the opportunity to surprise daddy when he got home from the DR. He was surprised and Brody was so so happy and ran right to him. He even tried going UP the escalator!

Then we had a week home. Busy week getting things together and kind of getting daddy settled. On Sunday we headed to OKC for PalCon. We got to visit with friends and daddy went to PalCon. On Wednesday, we headed to Amarillo for Stephanie’s wedding. It was a super busy week but it was so fun. Brody did not do great at rehearsal but nailed it at the wedding! Well, nailed it for a two year old! ;) The wedding was a blast. Then on Tuesday, we headed back to Bentonville for the last few days of June.  Brody stayed with Lolly and Peeps and got to head to Colorado for a few days. Hardest.thing.ever for Mommy! It may be a while before we do that again!!! Mommy cried all morning the day we left and lots while you were gone Brody! But you had fun and I am so glad you did!

It was super busy but super fun. Both kids were troopers and did great!
