The Dub Shack: September 2013

Today is your second birthday! I cannot believe how fast these two years have gone by! You are such a joy for us and we love every second of every day with you! This year has been filled with learning to walk, lots of new words, lots of new foods to try, drinking from cups, sleeping on nap mats at school, a new class at school, new friends, lots of traveling, a big boy car seat and booster seat, and lots of independency from you!!!

We have had so much fun playing, traveling, and just being with you this year. I remember this day two years ago and how excited mommy and daddy were to met you! It didn't seem real at first, but the moment we saw you we loved you. You were our perfect little boy and still are!

Nothing in this world could ever make us love you less little man! We will always love you, support you, be there for you, pray for you, cherish you, teach you, discipline you, and seek out the best for you. We will always be your biggest fans! We pray for you every single day and will until the day we die. We have nothing but your best interest in our mind and we will do anything we can to make you happy baby boy!

We cannot wait to celebrate so many more birthdays with you and watch you grow and develop into the man that God created you to be. We pray you will be a man of Christ, be loving, caring, moral, honest, and just a good man. We pray that you will always seek the best out in everyone and that you will be a man that people look at and see God through. We are doing our best to raise you this way. We pray you find a godly woman to make a home with and do this for your kids one day.

We love you so much baby boy. We are truely blessed to have been able to be your parents for the past two years. The Lord blessed us more than we could have ever imagined. You bring so much joy to our lives and words cannot describe how much we love and care for you sweet boy!

Brody,

I cannot belive that this will be your 24th month of life and that you will soon be 2!!!!! TWO YEARS OLD! It has flown by but been such an amazing 2 years!

The first week of August you were finally back home and we were staying home for a while! Nana and Papa brought you home Sunday and they stayed the whole week with us! It was so fun! We went to Crystal Bridges, the waterpark, on walks, the Walmart muesum, Mommy's school (to show Nana and Papa), and had lots of fun!

2nd week: You and Mommy both had to start back to school on Tuesday! YUCK! You did great this transition week. Although you did cry when dropping you off, you did great in school! You even slept with no paci on Friday! We are going to try and get rid of paci soon althogether! You even drank milk from a cup! Stinker - you don't ever drink milk at home!

3rd week: The preschool had this week off but Mommy was working. So for two days you stayed with Lauren and two days Larissa stayed with you at our house. You did great for both of them. You loved playing with Luke for two days and miss Larissa loved on you for two days! You took good naps and they said you were a joy - you always are!

4th week: Your preschool started back up - which is so nice. We are getting back into the routine. Although, we latch on when we leave you and scream and it tears Mommy apart. It makes me feel so bad but I hope you know I am working to provide for you. It is all for you sweet boy!

Sleeping: Since you started back to school, you wake up between 6 and 6:30. I am not sure why because we don't get you out of bed until 7. But you are usually good and just lay there until we come get you. But it would be just fine if you started sleeping later again :) We also started breaking you of your paci. You have more trouble going back to sleep after you wake up in the morning without it.

Eating: You love french fries and you are eating more rice now. Everything else is pretty much the same. You are a very picky eater. Most of the time you won't even try things. Last year you loved Sweet Petites grapes and this year you won't even try. I know you would like them if you would try. Maybe soon! :)
