Happy New Year buddy!!!
Jan 1 - 7: We were home on New Years this year!! We got home on New Years Eve from Lolly and Peeps. We went ahead and put you to bed but went in at midnight and told you Happy New Year! New Years Day we went to church and enjoyed starting the New Year serving Jesus! Your fever has stayed down so that is great! You do so well in church! You sleep the whole time!!This week Mommy had to go back to work :( It made me very sad. I had to go back on Monday - yuck. On Wednesday it was my birthday and it reminded me of a year ago on my birthday. On Jan 4, 2011 (my 25th birthday) I found out that I was pregnant with you! It was one of the best birthdays ever! This year daddy recorded the song he sang to mommy on our wedding day and surprised me with it at church!! He also surprised me with a dinner with our friends. You have such a wonderful, thoughtful, loving man as your father!! You are so blessed! This was also a big week for you because on Jan 5th you started Mother's day out at LWN. You did great! Mommy was nervous and sent a list of LONG notes and they laughed :) Just wanted to make sure my baby was taken care of!!! Nana and Papa came this weekend for Mommy's birthday and they loved seeing you!! They sure loved on you all weekend!
Jan 8 - 14: On Sunday, daddy preached and did such a good job!! I cannot wait for you to hear him preach and hear God speak through him. You will love it! On Monday, you turned 4 months old!! I cannot believe my baby boy is already 4 months old! Where has the time gone??? On Tuesday you had to get your shots :( Mommy and daddy dont like this too much! You wont remember but daddy has to hold you down and mommy has to watch you look at her and scream. You stopped crying pretty quick and did ok for the rest of the night. You legs were a little sore the next day at Nicole's but not much of a fever. You are growing so well! You are 14.14 pounds before eating then mommy fed in the office and you were about 15.6 (big meal!) You were 25 1/2 in long. You were 70% for height and 40% for weight! You go boy! Keep growing. Dr. Pielop said you look wonderful and are developing beautifully! Friday Jan 13 we set off for Leaky, Texas. We went to Winter Reatreat with LWN youth group - Transformed Student Ministries. I picked you up from Nicole's and we left right away. Mommy drove and Kelly McDaniel rode with us. You did great the whole trip. Of course you slept! :) We got in late but you still did good. Mommy bundled you up A LOT! You slept ok but not great. You were in the pack and play and you are not a fan of it. It is kind of hard. You and mommy had our own room. Saturday and Sunday we went to services and watched the kids play games and hung out with people. Everyone loved all over you and said how perfect and cute you were and how chubby you were! :) It was kind of hard on mommy because I couldnt really do much with the students and I wanted to, but you were my first priority and I took care of you first!
Jan 15 - 21: On Sunday, you Mommy and Kelly drove back to Katy. Daddy stayed in Leaky for the rest of the retreat. You and mommy had our first night alone without daddy. I put you in the pack and play next to my bed. I know it isnt your favorite but I didnt want you in your room away from me without daddy home. You slept pretty well and you and mommy hung out! On Monday, mommy was off and loved spending the day with you! I held you a while, ran a few errands, we went on a walk with Jenn and Olivia in the neighborhood, and waited for Daddy to get home! He was so glad to see us and was tired!!! On Tuesday, Mommy took you to the basketball game at school and lots of teachers held you and loved on you and told me how stinkin cute you were! But I already knew that! :) On Friday the 20th, we stopped swaddling you. You cried for about 30 minutes a little bit after you went to bed, then you went to sleep. You woke up about 4 times throughout the night. Not to bad for the first night. You did wake up with a really stuffy nose and cough though :( I think it is because you were not swaddled and did have that extra covering/warmth. You took lots of naps on Saturday because you were exhausted from the night. Daddy went to Upwards and Mommy stayed home with you. Once daddy got home we just relaxed the rest of the evening.
Jan 22 - 28: Sunday was Pastor Scott's last Sunday with us at LWN so the service was pretty long and we got to see a lot of people. Monday, Mommy, Daddy, and you headed to Austin. We stayed at Carra and Steve's house (daddy's cousin). On Tuesday, daddy had his ordination interview. He passed unanimously!! He did wonderful. I am so proud of daddy and all his accomplishments. I just know you will be one day too!! Carra, Steve, Nori, Dominique, and Elijah loved meeting you and playing with you. Carra watched you while we were at the interview and said you did so good!! Of course. :) How could we expect anything less of our perfect, sweet boy! :) Of course I am your mommy and a little biased :) On Wednesday, we went to church and they had cupcakes for daddy passing his interview!! This week was a little crazy on your sleeping schedule. You were up lots 4 out of the 7 nights since swaddling (Jan 20). You still had a stuffy nose and cough. So I called the Dr. and they had be bring you in to make sure you didnt have an ear infection! NO infection!!! But we dont know why you arent sleeping great. Maybe just the congestion, maybe hungry, maybe cold...dont know! Hopefully we can figure it out! On Saturday, daddy was very busy. He had upwards, then a quincinera. We stayed home and ran some errands. Then we had lunch at Subway with daddy. Then we went an bought daddy and iPad2 while he was at the quincinera. Then you went and stayed with Jodie and Mark Berquist while mommy and daddy went on a date. Daddy loved his ipad2 and you did great at their house. When we got there you were all spread out on Mark. You love when he holds you!! You slept better Saturday too!!
Jan 29 - Feb 3: We went to church on Sunday and life group on Sunday afternoon. You just layed there and hung out and talked some! You did great. You went to Nicole's and MDO this week. Mommy had another game and everyone thought you were so cute - again :) The week was pretty normal besides that. On Friday daddy went to see Josh Hamilton speak and you and Mommy had a date night! We played and ate and watched tv and you slept in my arms! A wonderful Friday night!! On Saturday we went to Beaumont because your cousin Preston had a birthday. We went to his game and had a little party. Everyone loved seeing you again and loving on you. They all cant believe how big you are getting!!! You wouldnt take a nap while we were there so you did well in the car and slept the whole way home!!!
